Composite.
Hybrid.
Full Carbon.
Every kit is available in three material tiers. The silhouette is identical across tiers — the differences are mass, finish, and price.
Composite
Glass-fibre reinforced polymer with a smooth gel-coat surface, ready for paint.
- Material
- Glass-fibre reinforced composite (GFRP) with polyester/vinylester resin
- Weight saved
- −15 to −25 kg vs OEM bodywork
- Lead time
- 8–10 weeks
- Finish
- Gel-coat, primed and ready for bodyshop paint
Street builds, show cars, and cost-sensitive conversions where OEM-equivalent finish quality is the priority.
Every NorthSea Dynamics composite panel is hand-laid over a CNC-milled master plug and cured under controlled workshop conditions. The result is a panel with the visual geometry of our carbon builds at a fraction of the price.
Composite panels are fully repairable at any competent bodyshop and accept standard automotive paint systems without special preparation. Two-year kit-side warranty against delamination and resin failure.
Hybrid
Composite substrate with a woven carbon-fibre outer skin on visible surfaces.
- Material
- Composite substrate laminated with 2×2 twill carbon-fibre outer skin
- Weight saved
- −25 to −40 kg vs OEM bodywork
- Lead time
- 10–12 weeks
- Finish
- Clear-coated carbon weave, or paint over carbon on request
Owners who want the carbon look and roughly 60% of the weight savings of a full-carbon build without the full-carbon price.
Our hybrid layup uses a structural composite core with a cosmetic carbon-fibre outer ply on every visible surface. Panels are vacuum-bagged and post-cured for dimensional stability.
This tier is popular for GT3 and Super Trofeo conversions where owners want carbon-visible bodywork above the beltline while keeping splitters, diffusers and inner structures in composite.
Full Carbon Fiber
Monolithic pre-preg carbon fibre throughout, autoclave-cured for competition use.
- Material
- Pre-preg carbon-fibre laminate, autoclave-cured with epoxy matrix
- Weight saved
- −40 to −60 kg vs OEM bodywork
- Lead time
- 12–16 weeks
- Finish
- Matte or gloss clear over exposed weave, or fully painted
Track and competition builds where every kilogram matters and structural stiffness is measured at the panel level.
Full-carbon kits are laid up in matched female moulds, debulked between plies, and cured in the autoclave under vacuum and heat for maximum fibre-volume fraction. Every panel is weighed and ultrasonically inspected before shipping.
Repairs on full-carbon panels require a specialist. We maintain a network of approved repair shops in the EU, and we accept damaged panels back at Uppsala for full remanufacture if a repair isn't viable.
